Freeport appoints Fleming to Advisory Board

Fleming has served in many roles, including\nDirector of the NL Geological Survey, Deputy Minister of the Departments of\nMines, Environment and Lands, and also Environment and Labour. Fleming is\nknown for a balanced approach to the importance of economic development within\na larger framework of sustainability.\n\n\nA few of Mr. Fleming's many professional and volunteer accomplishments and\nactivities include:\n\n- Graduate of St. Francis Xavier University (B.Sc. 1962) and Memorial\n University (M.Sc. 1972);\n- Professional Engineers and Geoscientists NL Award of Merit,1998;\n- Director and former Chairman of the NL Legacy Nature Trust;\n- Member and former President of the NL Environmental Industry\n Association;\n- Chairman of the Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, NL\n Branch, 2007-2008; and,\n- Director and Vice-Chairman of Cornerstone Capital Resources Inc.\n\n\nMichael Roberts, PE, Founding Director, remarks, "Mr. Fleming's\nexperience will undoubtedly be a significant asset, particularly with\npermitting for the advanced stages of the Hutton project underway.
