(\"POSCAN\") are pleased to announce that their\n Arctos Anthracite Joint Venture (\"AAJV\") summer field program has\n commenced in support of the environmental assessment (\"EA\") to permit\n the mine, wash plant and railway extension. A 30-person field camp was\n opened at the site on July 2nd to support the collection of environmental baseline information for the\n EA process. The Canadian Environmental Assessment Office recently\n granted substitution of the Arctos EA to British Columbia (\"BC\"),\n enabling provincial and federal jurisdictions to work closely together\n to incorporate all aspects of environmental safeguards and Aboriginal\n consultation under a 'one project, one assessment' approach. The data\n collected will augment environmental studies already completed by\n Fortune in prior years and contribute to the completion of the final EA\n report that is expected to be filed in 2014 to initiate the review\n process.\n\n\nMost of the environmental baseline information for the mine site has\n already been collected under the EA process for a previous development\n plan. The 2013 program is focused on additional environmental baseline\n studies for the proposed railway extension and to address gaps and\n update the mine baseline data to support permitting and detailed\n engineering designs.\n\n\nPlans for the 2013 baseline programs were submitted to the working group\n established by the British Columbia Environmental Assessment Office\n (\"BCEAO\") and is comprised of First Nations and various government\n agencies. This group advises the BCEAO about issues related to the\n assessment of the project and will help assess the adequacy of any\n proposed mitigation measures.\n\n\nField work underway includes:\n\n\nA drilling program to support geochemical, hydrogeological and\n geotechnical studies\n\n\nBaseline data acquisition at both the proposed mine location and rail\n line\n\n\nArchaeological studies\n\n\nMembers of the Tahltan and Gitxsan First Nations have been hired for\n various archaeological, drilling and hydrology roles and cont...
