[{"type":"text","content":"\n RNS Number : 7260C Focus Solutions Group PLC 19 November 2009 \n \n\n\n\n\n\nPress Release\n\n\n19 November 2009\n\n\n\n\nFocus Solutions Group plc\n(\"Focus Solutions\" or the \"Group\")\nUS patent granted for focus:technology software\n\nFocus Solutions Group plc (AIM:FSG), a leading provider of proven enterprise solutions to the financial services market, is pleased to announce that it has been granted a patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for electronic forms and data verification. \n\nThe patent covers the Group's innovative suite of highly flexible development tools, focus:technology, (previously known as goal:technology) which underpin all of the Group's focus:360° products. The software enables the rapid creation of web based user interfaces that can capture, validate and report data for financial services organisations. Through achieving this US patent, the Group is clearly demonstrating and protecting its IPR in relation to electronic form creation and data verification.\n\nTo secure the US patent the Group had to prove that its technology was original, innovative and works. The patent is valid until June 24th 2024. This patent award follows the award of the UK patent (GB 2389499) for electronic forms and data verification which was granted in 2005.\n\nRichard Stevenson, CEO of Focus Solutions, commented: \"This is a significant development for the Group, as it provides further evidence of the technological leadership of the Group as well as providing the Group with greater credibility as we look to opening up a new market which we see as being of great strategic importance to Focus.
