The Company has an\noption to acquire a 100% interest in the Taquetren Silver\nProject.\n \n \n \n \n “This region remains significantly underexplored, yet\ncontains significant discoveries, such as Patagonia Gold’s\nCalcatreau (Gold-Silver Deposit) and Pan American’s Navidad; one of\nthe world’s largest undeveloped silver deposits, with a resource in\nex\n \n \n \n \n cess of half a\nbillion ounces of silver. Our team and our partners have\nextensive\n \n \n experience in Argentina, and in Rio\nNegro province in particular” said Sean Hurd, President &\nCEO.\n \n \n \n \n The surface exploration program is focused on rock and\nstream sediment sampling and is expected to be completed before year\nend. Work is also in the process to expand the land package through\nthe acquisition of additional grounds adjacent to the project. The\nProject covers approximately 285 square kilometers (110 square miles)\nand is located within the Somuncura Massif in the Patagonia region.\n \n \n \n \n The geologic setting of the Project is the\ncalc-alkaline, bimodal and Jurassic-age volcanic rock sequence of the\nTaquetren Formation, which is bounded by the Gastre fault zone. The\nGastre fault system is a transcontinental shear zone, which extends\nfrom the Andean Cordillera to the Atlantic coast resulting in a series\nof half grabens and tectonic basins. The associated structures of\nwhich serve as hosts to some of the most prolific mineral endowments\nin Argentina.
