The turbine has more than 22 years proven history and more than 150 turbines installed and operating today, in countries like Denmark, Finland, Russia, Baltic Sea, Kazakhstan, and South Korea. However, this is the first time the turbine was installed in North America and the first time it was used to power an advertising billboard within an urban area, such as the Greater Toronto Area, in Ontario Canada.
