[{"type":"text","content":"\nBerkwood is completing historical analysis and plans 2013 fieldwork at Lac Gueret East Graphite Property in Quebec\n\n(via Thenewswire.ca)\n \n \nBerkwood Resources Ltd. (TSX-V: BKR) (\"Berkwood\") is pleased to announce that it is in the process of completing a compilation and review of all available historical data on its Lac Gueret East Graphite Property, located approximately 290 km north of Baie-Comeau, Quebec, in preparation for developing a 2013 Field Work program with the objective to delineate prospective graphite zones. \n\n \n \nDuring prospecting in October 2012 the first graphite bearing zone on the Property was discovered. The graphite bearing zone, which is traceable at surface extends a minimum of 55 metres, has a mean true width of 4-5 metres and trends northeast. (see Berkwood news release dated October 29, 2012 for details).\n\n \n \nPlans for the 2013 Field Work program, subject to interpretation of historical data and the geological potential of the property, may consist of mapping, sampling, airborne and ground geophysics stripping and trenching, with the objective of generating targets for drill testing. \n\n \n \nThe Lac Gueret East Graphite Property consists of 59 claims totalling 3186 Ha and is adjacent to the eastern edge of Mason Graphite's advanced Lac Gueret Property which has NI 43-101 compliant measured & indicated mineral resources of 7.6 million tonnes grading 20.40% Cgr. The Lac Gueret East Graphite Property shares a similar geological environment as Mason Graphite's Lac Gueret Property including on strike stratigraphic units and structures. It lies within the Parautochtonous Gagnon Terrane (Paleoproterozoic), characterized by minor granitic gneiss as well as dominant and younger metasediments of the Gagnon Group, a unit fertile for graphite which is imbedded in biotite / garnet / sillimanite / graphite paragneisses and dolomitic marbles. Graphite in the area is present in marbles and in contact with or within paragneisses and ranges from 3% to 40% Cg (Carbon Graphite) exhibiting flakes up to 5 mm in diameter. Large flake graphite is generally considered from 0.2 mm or more in size.\n\n \n \nTo view photos and maps of the Lac Gueret East Graphite Property, click the following link: http://www.berkwoodresources.com/lac-gueret-east.html.\n\n \n \nGeorge Gorzynski, P.Eng., a Director of Berk...
