[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 0040P Filtronic PLC 15 February 2016 \n\n \nFiltronic plc \n(\"Filtronic\" or the \"Company\")\nContract Win Worth up to US$1.9M\nFiltronic plc (AIM: FTC), the designer and manufacturer of microwave electronics products for the wireless telecoms infrastructure market and adjacent markets, is pleased to announce that it has received an order to develop core elements within long range, E-Band communication systems.\n \nThe order from a major US multinational company covers the design, development and delivery of prototype communication sub-systems to enable ultra-high capacity transmission of telecommunications data over a 20km range using E-Band frequencies. This technically challenging project pushes the boundaries of current technology and will be centred on Filtronic's class leading \"Orpheus\" transceiver technology.\n \nThe contract is structured on incremental development milestones worth up to US$1.9M on successful completion of the contract. The Company expects to complete development milestones equivalent to approximately 50% of the total contract value in the current financial year to 31 May 2016 with the balance in the subsequent year.\n \nRob Smith, CEO, Filtronic plc commented, \"We are delighted to have been chosen to work on this challenging and prestigious project.
