Cischke has been named senior vice president and will lead the\ncompany's sustainability efforts going forward, in addition to continuing her\npresent assignments. Her new title will be senior vice president, \nSustainability, Environment and Safety Engineering. She will report to Ford\nPresident and CEO Alan Mulally. \n\n'We are at a critical stage in the global conversation on sustainability, energy\nconsumption and environmental protection,' said Mulally. 'Sue, as part of the\nsenior leadership team, will not only help us shape our participation in this\ndialogue, but also help us develop the products and processes our customers and\nour society will demand. Sue has been very successful in leading our\nenvironmental and safety initiatives, and we're tapping into her vast knowledge\nand experience in those areas in having her take on this responsibility. She has\nthe full support of the company's Board and senior leadership team, and I have\nevery confidence that she will be successful in helping to drive sustainability\nthroughout our business.' \n\nCischke is charged with establishing a long range sustainability strategy as\nwell as Ford's environmental and safety policy. She previously reported to\nCorporate Affairs Group Vice President Ziad Ojakli, and will continue to work\nclosely with Ojakli and the Government Affairs team on safety and environmental\nregulatory issues. \n\nCischke previously was vice president, Environmental and Safety Engineering for\nFord Motor Company, a position she has held since January 2001. As Ford's top\nenvironmental and safety officer, Cischke continues to have responsibility for\nassuring that Ford Motor Company products meet or exceed all safety and\nenvironmental regulations worldwide. She helps shape corporate policy and works\nwith global regulators on issues ranging from carbon dioxide emissions to\npedestrian safety. \n\nPrior to joining Ford, Cischke was senior vice president of Regulatory Affairs\nand Passenger Car Operations at DaimlerChrysler. She began her career at\nChrysler Corp. in 1976 and held various engineerin...
