Hamp as vice-president and chief of staff, reporting to\nChairman and Chief Executive Officer Bill Ford. In his new role, Hamp will\nassist the chairman and CEO in the administration of his day-to-day duties,\nparticularly as Bill Ford steps up his drive to build and foster an innovation-\ndriven culture at the global auto maker.\n\nHamp, 57, will focus on strategic issues, alignment of senior leadership, and\nintegration of strategy into the Company's operations. He joins Ford after a 27-\nyear career at The Henry Ford, during which he rose to serve as the historical\ninstitution's president. Under his leadership, The Henry Ford's operating\nstructure was fundamentally revised and expanded to include the establishment of\nthe Henry Ford Academy, a public high school; the Rouge Factory Tour, Michigan's\nonly auto assembly plant tour open to the public; and other new user experiences\nand services, such as an IMAX theatre. Hamp also led the largest capital\ncampaign in the museum's history.\n\n'I've seen firsthand the kind of impact Steve can have on an organization.
