This halo, exhibiting dark mineral zoning, consists of\nsecondary iron oxides such as\n \n\n goethite\n \n\n and\n \n\n hematite\n \n\n , indicating\noxidation of earlier iron-bearing minerals—potentially pyrite or\nmagnetite.\n \n\n\n\n The presence of\n \n\n calcite veins with alteration halos\n \n\n signifies\npathways of\n \n\n hydrothermal fluid\nflow\n \n\n through the host limestone and marble,\nfurther supporting evidence of metasomatic alteration within a\n \n\n skarn-associated\nsystem\n \n\n .\n \n\n Bornite\n \n\n has also been observed in the\n \n\n Sandy Mine Adit.\n \n\n\n\n Secondary Calcite Vein\n \n\n : White calcite veins cutting through the limestone signify\nmultiple hydrothermal fluid events.
