[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nCALGARY, May 19 /CNW/ - Boxxer Gold Corp (TSXV - "BXX") is pleased to\nannounce the analytical results for the recently completed first phase of a\ndiamond drilling program on its 100% owned Boss copper-gold project located in\nthe Goodsprings Mining District, southwest Nevada. Diamond drill results\ninclude 1.05% copper and 0.15 g/t gold over an interval of 20.0 metres\nincluding 3.53% copper, 0.43 g/t gold, 0.53 g/t PGE and 1.13 g/t silver over\n5.46 m.\n\n\nBoxxer expects to commence the second phase of the diamond drilling\nprogram upon receipt of approval of the Notice of Intent from the Bureau of\nLand Management ("BLM").\n\n\nMr. Elmer Stewart, President and CEO of Boxxer stated, "We are very\npleased with the results of the first drilling program completed on the Boss\nProject. This round of drilling has tested mineralization at both ends of the\nproject separated by a strike length of 14,000 feet. Boxxer expects to\ncommence drilling on the Boss Extension, its main drilling target, upon\napproval of the Notice of Intent from the BLM."\n\n\nPhase II Drilling Program, Boss Extension\n\n\nBoxxer plans to complete two 300 metre deep holes to test the copper-gold\nmineralized skarn exposed in the Boss Extension. The Boss Extension is the\nmost advanced target on the Boss property and is the primary focus of the 2009\ndiamond drilling program.\n\n\nExploration Model:\n\n\nThe Boss Extension is approximately 650 metre long by 550 metre wide\nwhere extensive, disseminated and fracture controlled skarn hosted copper-gold\nmineralization is exposed on surface, in adits, pits and trenches. The\ncopper-gold mineralization exhibits a strong bismuth-cobalt-nickel-lead-zinc\ngeochemical signature. The Boss Extension, the focus of the next drilling\nprogram, occurs within a 4,000 metre long skarn (interpreted to be the marble\nfront) related to porphyritic monzonite dikes exposed in outcrop and in\nunderground workings and an oval shaped 500 metre long by 400 metre wide\npositive magnetic feature located under the Boss Extension.\n\n\nHighlights of the Current Drilling Program:\n\n- Drilling at the Oro Amigo mine intersected copper-gold mineralization\n similar to that identified in the three levels of the underground\n workings;\n- Additional diamond drilling is required to test the dimensions of ...
