[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nCALGARY, April 23 /CNW/ - Boxxer Gold Corp (TSXV - "BXX") is pleased to\nannounce additional channel sampling results from its 100% owned Boss\ncopper-gold project located in the Goodsprings Mining District of southern\nNevada. The sampling outlined significant zones of copper mineralization\nincluding the following intervals:\n\n\n- 2.56% copper, 0.20% cobalt and 0.09 g/t gold over 12.60 metres, and\n- 1.40% copper, 0.40g/t gold and 5.08 g/t silver over 18.50 metres.\n\n\nMr. Elmer Stewart, President and CEO of Boxxer stated, "These analytical\nresults have significantly expanded the known area of copper-gold\nmineralization within the Boss Project. The significant concentrations of\ncobalt and absence of platinum group elements is the fourth style of\nmineralization located to date on the project. The multiple mineralizing\nevents could explain the size of the skarn and widespread copper-gold\nmineralization in this part of the Goodsprings Mining District."\n\n\nProject Overview:\n\n\nOver the past 12 months Boxxer has focused its exploration efforts on the\ncopper-gold zone part of the Goodsprings Mineral District. This exploration\neffort has identified the following features that support a skarn/porphyry\nhosted copper-gold exploration model for the Boss project.\n\n\na) A skarn assemblage (consisting of the marble front and retrograde\n skarn) has been identified over a horizontal distance of 4 km and a\n width of up to 2 km;\nb) Extensive copper-gold mineralization is exposed in numerous old\n underground workings and in outcrop over the entire 4 kms strike\n length of the skarn;\nc) The intrusives exposed within the Goodsprings Mineral District\n comprise a suite of monzonitic rocks and thin, late post mineral\n alkali ultramafic dikes;\nd) Four chemically different styles of copper (and associated metal)\n mineralization has been identified;\ne) A strong arsenic-bismuth-lead-zinc-nickel-molybdenum-stibnite\n geochemical association with the copper-gold mineralization; and\nf) The areal extent of the copper-gold zone of the Goodsprings Mineral\n District is approximately 12 long and averages 3 wide.\n\n\nThe above listed features from the Boss Project are all characteristic of\nskarn hosted copper-gold mineralization.\n\n\nRecent sampling of two news large zones of copper mineralization has\ne...
