[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nCALGARY, Feb. 27 /CNW/ - Boxxer Gold Corp (TSXV - "BXX") is pleased to\nannounce the discovery of a large new zone of disseminated copper\nmineralization in an unexplored portion of its 100% owned Boss project located\nin the Goodsprings Mining District, southern Nevada, representing a new style\nof copper mineralization. To accommodate the new discovery, Boxxer announces\nnew land acquisition.\n\n\nMr. Elmer Stewart, President and CEO of Boxxer stated, "This new\ndiscovery combined with the skarn/marble hosted copper-gold mineralization\nclearly indicates multiple mineralizing events in this portion of the\nGoodsprings Mineral district. The analytical results from the Ironside\nNortheast zone are consistent with our skarn-related porphyry intrusion model,\nthus, substantially extending the potential for copper-gold mineralization in\nthis unexplored portion of the Boss project. We have reason to believe that\nthe district is host to a large, complex mineralizing system as evidenced\nthrough the recently identified areas of anomalous copper-gold mineralization\nin bedrock, the four distinct styles of copper mineralization, the 14,000-foot\nlong skarn/marble alteration zone and the 17 large zones of copper-gold\nmineralization located to date."\n\n\nHighlights:\n\n- Staking new mineral claims to cover the recently discovered\n disseminated stratiform copper mineralization in fine to medium\n grained partially silicified carbonates,\n- Identification of three large areas of anomalous copper-gold values\n in bedrock with up to 55,300 ppm (5.53%) copper and 4.36 g/t gold in\n portions of the Boss project, and\n- Copper-gold concentrations found in preliminary channel sampling of\n the Ironside Northeast zone located 400 m south of the Oro Amigo\n mine, warranting the detailed systematic channel sampling and mapping\n of this zone.\n\n\nStratiform Copper Mineralization:\n\n\nRecent exploration has located disseminated and streaks of copper-oxide\nmineralization in fine to medium grained partially decalcified and silicified\ncarbonate over a minimum horizontal distance of 50 m and a vertical distance\nof 15 m. The mineralization appears to extend beyond these dimensions. Two\nsamples have been collected and submitted for 42 element ICP analysis\nincluding copper-gold-silver and PGM.\n\n\nLand Acquisition:\n...
