ComEd, Metropolitan Mayors Caucus Announce 17 Northern Illinois Communities Complete Training to Become "EV Ready"
CHICAGO, August 04, 2025--ComEd and the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus today recognized a diverse group of communities completing a program designed to help prepare them to accommodate the growth of electric vehicles (EVs) and EV infrastructure. Through their completion of the EV Readiness Program, 17 local governments have demonstrated actions required to create permitting, safety plans and local policies that help make EVs more accessible in communities throughout northern Illinois.
