(TSX: EXN) (\"Excellon\" or \"the Company\"), Mexico's highest grade silver producer, is pleased to report encouraging\n results from three diamond drill holes in the Rincón del Caído\n (\"Rincon\") area northwest of the Platosa Mine.  Highlights of the drill\n holes released today include:\n\n\n● LP1044 encountered two mineralized intersections at Rincón del Caído,\n less than 1 km northwest of the Platosa Mine:\n\n\n● 2.01 g/t Au with anomalous Pb and Zn over 4.77 metres (\"m\") at a\n strongly altered/skarnified limestone-marble contact;● 123 g/t (3.6 oz/T) Ag, 4.42% Pb, 5.05% Zn and 0.079 g/t Au over 6.23 m\n in a skarnified sulphide zone 100 m further downhole. \n\n\n● LP1049 intersected 140 g/t (4.1 oz/T) Ag, 2.99% Pb, 3.14% Zn over 5.23\n m, including 387 g/t (11.3 oz/T) Ag, 8.21% Pb, 9.55% Zn over 1.58 m in\n aplite dykes and skarnified marble;● LP1041 intersected 27.43 g/t Au over 1.60 m southeast of Rincon while\n probing for potentially important sub-vertical structures/feeder zones.\n \n\n\n\"The extension of the gold, silver and base metal mineralization\n previously encountered in hole LP1038 southwest to LP1044 and northeast\n to hole LP1049 is exciting and further evidence that we are on the edge\n of the large carbonate replacement deposit (\"CRD\") system that we have\n been seeking since exploration began at Platosa,\" said John Sullivan, Vice-President of Exploration.  \"Recent drilling has provided us with a wealth of data to better\n vector in on the heart of the Source system, which we will continue to\n do in the coming months.  We have now also resumed the search for\n additional high-grade massive sulphide mantos in the vicinity of the\n mine.\"\n\n\nLP1044 encountered two mineralized zones, one rich in Au, the other a\n sulphide-rich skarnified-marble similar to others reported in the same\n area since mid-2012.  The hole was drilled approximately 30 m SW of\n LP1038, which intersected 13.07 g/t Au, 21 g/t (0.6 oz/T) Ag, 0.74% Pb,\n 3.57% Zn over 7.25 m (refer to press release dated January 17, 2013). \n Immediately below the Au interse...
