About this update from Europa Oil & Gas (holdings) Plc

[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nEuropa Oil & Gas (Holdings) plc\n\nHykeham Operations Update\n\nThe Directors of Europa Oil & Gas (Holdings) plc wish to provide an operational\nupdate on the Hykeham-1Z well ahead of today's Oilbarrel presentation.\n\nSince running perforating guns over the 4m of Basal Sandstone in February,\noperations have concentrated on lifting the reservoir fluids without success.\nCasing pressure testing conducted yesterday to approximately 4,000psi without\nleaking-off has confirmed what was becoming clear to management: that the\noriginal perforation charges failed to penetrate the casing and there is no\nconnection to the reservoir. Earlier pressure readings on the tubing head\nindicate a leaking packer. The well therefore remains completely untested.\n\nThe forward programme on the well will involve perforating the pay interval\nwith more substantial perforating guns, likely to be run on tubing. Planning\nthis will take around 2 weeks.\n\nPaul Barrett, Managing Director, said, `Despite the highly unusual situation,\nthis is quite a satisfying result that confirms what the mounting evidence has\nbeen suggesting: that the original perforations failed and that this well\nremains to be tested. We continue to be confident that this well will provide\nus with a gratifying result in due course.'\n\nFor more information, please contact:\n\nPaul Barrett, Europa Oil & Gas, 01235 553266\nJonathan Wright, Seymour Pierce, 020 7107 5000\n\nEuropa have utilised the services of iProdTech and Moorhouse Petroleum,\nengineering consultants, in assessing the engineering data.\n ","length":1576,"tagName":"div"}]
