[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n \n \n RNS Number : 5010I\n Essentra plc\n 13 August 2021\n \n \n \n \n ESSENTRA PLCA leading global provider of essential components and solutions\n \n \n \n \n \n APPOINTMENT OF BOARD TRAINEE\n \n \n \n \n \n The Board of Essentra plc (\"Essentra\" or \"the Company\") today announces the appointment of Dupsy Abiola as Board Trainee, Non-Executive Director with effect from 29 July 2021. \n \n \n \n \n \n The role of Board Trainee, Non-Executive Director is a new role created by Essentra to help develop a wider pool of candidates for board positions. The role is voluntary and appointees will be in training for up to twelve months, following the Board's annual cycle. The Board Trainee will be given full exposure to Board activities and Committees and supported to assimilate into the Board and the Company. \n \n \n Dupsy trained as a barrister after reading Law at the University of Oxford and in 2010 founded Intern Avenue, a hire-matching recruitment platform which was later acquired by Bright Network. Dupsy is currently Head of Global Innovation at the International Airlines Group, one of the worlds' largest airline groups.\n \n Outside her executive commitments,\n \n Dupsy is also a leader on The Global Future Council for Mobility at the World Economic Forum, which seeks to identify the points of innovation or cultural transformation impacting the movement of people and goods. She has also served also an Advisory Board Member to F-Lane Global Social Impact Accelerator for Female Founders since 2017 and advises a range of start-ups and scale ups on growth. \n \n \n Commenting on today's announcement, Paul Lester, Chairman, said: \"Essentra is committed to increasing diversity and inclusion both on the Board and within the workplace and will seek to attract the broadest range of Board Trainees to better reflect the regions we work in and the customers we work with.
