[{"type":"text","content":"\n RNS Number : 7911U Regal Petroleum PLC 30 June 2009 \n \n\n30 June 2009\n\nRegal Petroleum plc\n('Regal' or the 'Company')\n\nResult of General Meeting\n\nRegal, the AIM-listed (RPT) oil and gas exploration and production group operating in Ukraine, Romania and Egypt, announces that the resolutions proposed at the General Meeting held earlier today to approve, inter alia, an increase in the directors' authority to allot equity securities and the disapplication of pre-emption rights in connection with the Placing, as set out in the notice of General Meeting dated 12 June 2009, were all duly approved by shareholders. \n\nCompletion of the Placing remains conditional on Admission. It is expected that Admission of the 104,000,000 new ordinary shares of 5 pence each in the capital of the Company (the 'Placing Shares') to trading on AIM will become effective, and that dealings in the Placing Shares will commence, at 8.00 a.m. tomorrow, Wednesday 1 July 2009. The total number of ordinary shares in issue following completion of the Placing, and the total number of voting rights, will be 315,645,664.
