[{"type":"text","content":"\n RNS Number : 4407R Regal Petroleum PLC 23 August 2010 \n \n\n \nRegal Petroleum plc\n(\"Regal\" or the \"Company\")\n \n \n23 August 2010\n \nRegal Petroleum spuds exploration well in Romania\n \n \nRegal, the AIM-listed oil and gas exploration and production group (symbol: RPT), is pleased to announce the spud of exploration well E-1 Sagna on 22 August 2010 in its 100%-held Barlad Concession in Romania.\n\nE-1 Sagna is being drilled based on an expanded network of 2D seismic profiles close to Regal's RBN-4 gas discovery announced on 13 December 2007. The well is designed to provide an additional test of the regionally productive gas-bearing Sarmatian aged sandstone reservoirs.
