[{"type":"text","content":"\n Regal Petroleum PLC\n16 April 2008\n\n\n\n16 April 2008\n\n\n\n REGAL PETROLEUM PLC\n\n ('Regal' or 'the Company')\n\n\n\n Appointment of Non-Executive Chairman\n\n\n\nRegal Petroleum (AIM: RPT), the independent oil & gas exploration and production\ncompany with interests in the Ukraine, Romania and Egypt, is pleased to announce\nthe appointment of Mr Keith Henry as Non-Executive Chairman of the Company with\nimmediate effect.\n\n\n\nMr Henry, aged 63, has over 34 years experience in the development, financing,\ndesign, construction and management of projects in the oil and gas, process,\npipeline, energy and construction industries, during which time he was Chief\nExecutive of National Power Plc, Kvaerner Engineering and Construction Limited\nand Brown & Root Limited. He previously served as Deputy Chairman of Petroleum\nGeo-Services ASA from 2003 and then as Chairman of Petrojarl ASA in 2006. He\nalso served as a non-executive director of South East Water Ltd from 2005 to\n2007, of Enterprise Oil plc from 1995 to 2002 and of First Calgary Petroleums\nLtd from 2007 to March 2008 and has been nominated to rejoin the board of First\nCalgary Petroleums Ltd as a non-executive director with effect from 18 April\n2008.\n\n\n\nIn recent years, Mr Henry has held a number of senior non-executive roles,\nincluding Chairman of Burren Energy plc for three years until the sale of the\ncompany to Eni SpA in January 2008. He is currently the senior independent\nnon-executive director of Emerald Energy plc and a non-executive director of\nfour privately owned companies.
