[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEDV\n\n\nVANCOUVER, April 2, 2013 /CNW/ - Endeavour Mining Corporation (\"Endeavour\" or the \"Corporation\")\n (TSX:EDV, ASX:EVR, OTCQX:EDVMF) announces the appointment of Ian\n Henderson, former manager of the JP Morgan Natural Resources Fund who\n has more than 30 years of international natural resource investment\n experience, to Endeavour's Board of Directors effective April 1, 2013.\n The Board now consists of six directors, five of whom are independent. \n\n\n\n\n\nMichael Beckett, Chairman, stated\n\n\n\"We are very pleased to welcome Ian Henderson to the Endeavour board. \n Ian brings extensive experience and knowledge from many years of\n international resource investment management.  Ian's seasoned\n perspective will add to the depth of talent on Endeavour's board and we\n look forward to his future contributions.\" \n\n\n\n\n\nIan Henderson was Managing Director at JP Morgan Asset Management and\n managed JPMorgan's Natural Resources Funds for over twenty years until\n January 2012. Most recently he acted as a consultant to JP Morgan\n advising the Global Equities Team on Natural Resources equities. An\n employee since 1991, he was previously responsible for international\n portfolios and has extensive knowledge of the mining and oil and gas\n industries.  Previously, Mr. Henderson spent nine years as director and\n chief investment officer at Wardley Investment Services International\n Limited. Prior to this, he served five years as an international\n portfolio manager involved in business development in London and New\n York for Morgan Grenfell & Co. Mr. Henderson began his career as an\n accountant with Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. He holds an LLB in Scots\n Law and an MA in Philosophy and Politics from Edinburgh University. He\n is also an ACA and FCA.\n\n\nAbout Endeavour Mining Corporation\n\n\nEndeavour is a gold producer delivering growth. Endeavour owns three\n gold mines producing more than 300,000 ounces per year in Mali, Ghana\n and Burkina Faso that are generating significant operating cash flows\n to fund further expansion.
