[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n\n\nVANCOUVER, April 11, 2013 /CNW/ - Endeavour Mining Corporation\n (\"Endeavour\" or the \"Corporation\") (TSX:EDV, ASX:EVR, OTCQX:EDVMF)\n announces, in conjunction with other gold mining companies operating in\n Mali, its local operating subsidiary has contributed US$500,000 to\n humanitarian initiatives to be coordinated by the Ministry of Finance.\n The aggregate contribution of the industry group is US$3.15 million and\n a cheque for that amount was presented to President Dioncounda Traore\n and the Minister of Mines at a ceremony in Bamako this morning. In\n cooperation with AngloGold Ashanti, Avnel Gold Mining, IAMGOLD,\n Randgold Resources and Resolute Mining, Endeavour agreed to the terms\n of a funding structure with the Ministry of Finance. Under this\n structure, contributions will be administered by the Ministry of\n Finance through a special account for humanitarian initiatives in the\n areas of healthcare, education and agriculture.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNeil Woodyer, CEO, commented\n\n\n\"The last months have been particularly difficult for the people of Mali\n in terms of humanitarian need, and we believe our financial\n contribution can go some way towards alleviating pressures in the areas\n of healthcare, education and agriculture. We are very pleased that a\n wider industry group has been able to agree upon a common approach for\n this contribution.\" \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe contributing companies have received assurances that the funding\n will be dedicated to programs in the specified areas.  The Ministry of\n Finance has additionally agreed to provide regular reports to the\n industry group on funds usage and humanitarian progress.\n\n\nAbout Endeavour Mining Corporation\n\n\nEndeavour is a gold producer delivering growth. Endeavour owns three\n gold mines producing more than 300,000 ounces per year in Mali, Ghana\n and Burkina Faso that are generating significant operating cash flows\n to fund further expansion.
