[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n \n Empire Metals Limited /\n LON\n : EEE / Sector: Natural Resources\n \n \n \n \n \n 01 March\n 2023\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Empire Metals Limited\n \n \n \n \n (\"Empire\n \n \n \" or \"the Company\")\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Appointment of Exploration Manager\n \n \n Ex-Rio Tinto Geologist joins Empire Metals Exploration Team\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Empire Metals Limited (LON:EEE), the AIM-quoted resource exploration and development company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Faragher as the Company's Exploration Manager, with immediate effect\n \n \n \n \n \n Mr Faragher joins a technical leadership team led by Shaun Bunn, the Managing Director, and includes a senior technical advisory group comprising Empire's Non-Executive Chairman, Dr. Neil O'Brien, and Mr Ed Baltis, the Company's Exploration Consultant. As Exploration Manager,\n Mr. Faragher will be responsible for exploration strategy and targeting, project evaluation, and\n supervising the exploration fieldwork and providing technical guidance to a team of geologists and field assistants.\n \n \n \n \n \n Mr Faragher is an experienced exploration geologist with over 25 years' experience working across\n multiple commodities including copper/gold, base metals, uranium, iron ore, bauxite and diamonds.\n He has a strong track record of discoveries and a deep understanding of exploration.\n \n \n \n \n \n Amongst other senior positions, Mr Faragher spent seven years working for Rio Tinto, where he held a number of roles including Exploration Manager - Canada and Chief Geologist - Iron Ore and Bauxite.\n Highlights of his career with Rio Tinto include leading a team which discovered in excess of 5Bt of iron ore in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, along with building and developing successful exploration teams in both Australia and Canada.\n \n \n \n \n \n Mr Faragher has a long history of copper exploration in Australia and Canada exploring for Iron Oxide Copper Gold (IOCG) in Queensland, South Australia and Northern Territory. He was also part of the team that identified over 150Mt of Cu at the Mt Roseby IOCG Project north of Cloncurry.
