[{"type":"text","content":"Orlando, FL– September 28, 2015 -- EMP Solutions, Inc.\n(PINKSHEETS: EMPS) has completed the\ninstallation of a HALO PDCE Lightning Suppressor on the City of Orlando\nEmergency Operations Center, located near the Orlando International Airport.\n\nAbout the Emergency\nOperations Center:\n\nAn emergency operations center (EOC) is a centralized place where\ngovernment officials and representatives of emergency response agencies can go\nto jointly manage major emergencies and disasters. EOCs are designed and\nequipped to gather and analyze incident information and organize large-scale\nresponse and recovery operations. EOCs have several levels of redundancy for\ncritical systems such as electricity, internet and communications to ensure\nthat they can continue operating in disaster environments when primary systems\nmay not be available.\n\nThe EOC is 8,000-square-foot center features an operational area\nwith workstations for functional groups including police, fire, health,\ninfrastructure and finance/administration. There is also seating for GIS personnel\nand supporting agencies such as the Red Cross, Orlando Utilities Commission and\nothers. The EOC has a variety of technology to facilitate operations including\naccess to radar, cameras, power outage maps and flood sensors to provide the\nmost accurate and up-to-date information available. \n\nWhile the EOC in Orlando was already equipped with multiple\nFranklin Rods and an extensive grounding system, the continuing threat and\npotential impact of lightning strikes was a major concern.  A single HALO unit was placed atop a 30 foot hurricane\nrated pole and mounted to the roof of the EOC and will protect the entire\nfacility, its electronics and employees.\n\nMarket Size:\n\nThere are an estimated 11,000 facilities in the United States that\nhouse either primary or secondary Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) which\nare sometimes located within EOCs. \nAdditionally, redundant and alternative centers are in place in the\nevent primary ones are damaged.  \n\nEMP Solutions, Inc. recognizes the importance of these of these\ncenters is proud to protect such critical communication infrastructure from the\ndangers of lightning.  We continue to\nreach out to more and more such facilities in hopes of making the Nation’s\ncritical infrastructure more relia...
