(OTC: EMPS)\nis proud to announce it has completed its first U.S. based charter boat\ninstallation in Panama City, Florida. The ‘Privateer’, a 52’ catamaran\nsailing vessel, is owned and operated by Paradise Adventures (paradiseadventurespcb.com). \nThe ‘Privateer’ can accommodate up to 49 passengers and is equipped with a\nfully stocked bar, two restrooms and a water slide. Its 68’ mast towers\nover most other vessels in the area, making it a prime target for Florida’s\ndevastating lightning storms. Owner Donnie Coker was concerned for his\npassenger’s safety as well as the onboard electronics and the structural\nintegrity of the “Privateer’ and reached out to EMP Solutions, Inc. for an\nalternative to traditional lightning protection. Having had first-hand\nexperience with lightning, Mr. Coker wanted to make sure his passengers, crew\nand boat were fully protected.\n\nThe installation was challenging, as this is prime charter season\nfor Paradise Adventures and they typically run 3 tours a day. EMP\nSolutions, with tremendous support from the ‘Privateer’s’ captain and crew, was\nable to install the HALO PDCE unit atop the mast during the course of several\nday and evening charter trips. Passengers got to enjoy the sailing trip\nas well as a first-hand look at the installation process. William Rust,\nVP of Operations, harnessed himself to the mast and made several trips to the\ntop to install and inspect the final work. “”Installing at sea was a new\nexperience for us. Dangling 68’ above the ocean in a harness makes\neverything more difficult and frankly, a bit terrifying”, said Rust. \nOverall the installation was a great success and Paradise Adventures, its\nowners and crew were thrilled with the results.\n\nThis installation make the ‘Privateer’ the first commercial vessel\nin the United States that has a lightning prevention system designed to protect\npassengers as well as the vessel.
