HALIFAX, July 12 /CNW/ - (EMA-TSX): Chris Huskilson, President and Chief Executive Officer, announced that Nancy Tower, presently the Vice-President Customer Operations for Nova Scotia Power Inc., will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer for Emera Inc. and Nova Scotia Power Inc. on an acting basis. Ms. Tower, a Fellow Chartered Accountant, joined Nova Scotia Power in 1997 and has held a number of increasingly senior financial positions in the organization including Controller, prior to assuming responsibility for operations. Prior to joining Nova Scotia Power, Ms. Tower was a Principal with Ernst & Young. Ms. Tower is active in the community, currently serving as a board member for Nova Scotia Business Incorporated, the QEII Health Sciences Centre Foundation and CAA Maritimes. In the past, she has served as president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nova Scotia and on the board of governors of Dalhousie University. Randy Henderson, Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Emera and its principal subsidiary Nova Scotia Power Inc. has decided to resign and return to his home province of Alberta due to family reasons. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Henderson held a number of senior financial positions in the electrical industry in Alberta and prior to that, in the accounting profession in Alberta and New Zealand.
