[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nHALIFAX, Jan. 18 /CNW/ - A former head of the Canadian Gas Association\nand the Ontario Energy Board is joining Nova Scotia Power's (NSPI) Board of\nDirectors.\n\n\nMarie Rounding brings over 25 years of energy industry, regulatory and\nlegal experience to the NSPI Board. She is the former President and Chief\nExecutive Officer (CEO) of the Canadian Gas Association. Prior to that, she\nserved six years as Chair and CEO of the Ontario Energy Board, the\nquasi-judicial body that regulates that province's electricity and natural gas\nsectors. She is also a former Chair of the Canadian Association of Members of\nPublic Utility Tribunals (CAMPUT). Ms. Rounding currently serves as Counsel to\nGowling Lafleur Henderson LLP, a leading Canadian law firm, where she is a\nmember of the National Energy and Infrastructure Industry Group. She is also a\nDirector of Ontario Power Generation.\n\n\n\"Marie Rounding is an outstanding addition to our Board of Directors,\"\nsaid John McLennan, Chair of the NSPI Board. \"Her industry experience is\nextensive, and her regulatory expertise will be particularly helpful to our\norganization.
