[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nElectric Delivery Rates Forecast To Remain Stable\n\n\nBANGOR, MAINE, January 17 /CNW/ - Bangor Hydro Electric Company formally\nfiled requests for changes in both its distribution rates and stranded cost\nrates with the Maine Public Utilities Commission on Tuesday. As previously\nstated in November, Bangor Hydro is forecasting the net changes will have\nminimal impact on electric delivery rates.\n\n\nBangor Hydro's filing requests an increase in distribution rates\nattributed to load reductions. This increase is nearly offset by a requested\nreduction in stranded cost rates. It is estimated that the combined impact of\nthe filings will result in an increase of approximately 70 cents per month for\nthe typical residential customer bill beginning the first quarter of 2008.\n\n\n\"Considering the current cost pressures facing the energy market, we are\npleased to put forward a plan for our customers that keeps electric\ndistribution rates relatively stable for the near future,\" said Kathy\nBillings, director of corporate and community relations.\n\n\nBangor Hydro's filing starts the Public Utilities Commission's review\nprocess.
