(ASX, TSX: ELM) (\"Elemental\" or the \"Company\")\n is pleased to announce results from its trade-off studies analysis\n resulting in further project definition respecting its on-going\n pre-feasibility study.\n\n\nHIGHLIGHTS:\n\n\nThe Company has completed the review of the trade-off studies and\n defined the base case project configuration.\n\n\nThe project definition could realise improvements in capital and\n operating cost estimates as well as enhanced social and environmental\n impacts.\n\n\nTRADE-OFF STUDIES RESULTS\n\n\nA total of eleven trade-off studies were completed by the study team\n consisting of Elemental staff, SRK Consulting, AMEC Americas, EGIS\n International and Ercosplan significantly focussing the Company on the\n way forward to project and operational completion, as well as bringing\n operational and capital cost benefits. The combined results were\n evaluated considering technical, economic, social and environmental\n aspects and supported the following project definition for the\n remainder of the study:\n\n\nConventional underground mechanised mining\n\n\n2.0Mtpa muriate of potash production capacity\n\n\nRoad system for material transport with dedicated haul road and a\n separate light vehicle road\n\n\nHigh tonnage road train hauling system\n\n\nJetty trans-loading facility near Tchiboula 36km from the mine site\n\n\nProcess plant located at the coast adjacent to the ship loading jetty\n\n\nBrine disposal at the sea\n\n\nNational grid power supply and gas off-take for drying\n\n\nSingle status camp adjacent to the plant at the coast\n\n\nPhased granular capacity reaching 100% granular product capability.\n\n\nThe ongoing pre-feasibility study will continue to examine further\n project optimisation opportunities, including an alternative power\n supply utilising dedicated gas-fired power generation, which is\n expected to take advantage of the abundance of natural gas that is\n currently a waste product of the oil industry in the immediate vicinity\n and also the option of phasing in rail transport.\n\n\nThere are a number of benefits arising from the selected project\n configuration including:\n\n\nA material transport distance of 36km from the mine to the ship loading\n facility.
