(ASX, TSX: ELM) (\"Elemental\" or \"the Company\") is pleased to announce\n that the Company has received approval of its Environmental and Social\n Impact Assessment (\"ESIA\") from the Republic of Congo (\"RoC\") Ministry\n of Tourism and Environment.\n\n\nThe approval of the ESIA comes shortly after the Company was awarded the\n Mining License for its Sintoukola Potash Project.\n\n\nThe ESIA covers an area of 3900 km2 and grants approval for all required construction and operational\n activities related to the Kola deposit over the life of mine, currently\n expected to be 23 years. These activities include ore mining, transport\n and processing, residue storage, brine disposal, final product loading\n through maritime facilities, staff accommodation and service corridors.\n\n\nThe ESIA is the culmination of 24 months of extensive environmental and\n social studies and various stakeholder engagement initiatives. The\n study was prepared by SRK Consulting and its local counterpart PERAM.\n\n\nCommenting on the approval of the ESIA, Elemental's CEO, Iain Macpherson\n stated: \"We are extremely excited about the approval of the ESIA for\n the Sintoukola Potash Project. This is the second of two key permitting\n stages and further demonstrates the RoC Government's commitment to the\n development of mining assets in the region. It also highlights the\n advanced nature of the engineering, environmental planning and social\n engagement that has gone into the development of this exciting project\n and further confirms the near term production potential of Sintoukola\n as an independent, low cost, long term significant potash producer.\"\n\n\nElemental recently announced the award of an extension of its\n exploration licence for an additional two years.
