[{"type":"text","content":"\n Eleco PLC\n20 February 2006\n\n\n20 February 2006\n\n Eleco plc\n Result of Extraordinary General Meeting and\n Update on Trading\n\nThe Board of Eleco plc, the building systems and construction software group, is\npleased to announce that at the Extraordinary General Meeting held today, the\nresolution to approve the Company's proposed de-listing from the Official List\nand from trading on the London Stock Exchange and that application be made for\nthe admission to trading on AIM was duly passed by Shareholders.\n\nAccordingly, notice is hereby given that the final day of dealing on the\nOfficial List will be 21 March 2006 and the first day of trading on AIM will be\n22 March 2006.\n\nAt the meeting, John Kettley, Executive Chairman, made the following statement:\n\n'In my statement at the Annual General Meeting I referred to the fact that\nalthough the outlook in our UK markets was more uncertain than it had been for\nsome time and there were signs that demand may be weakening in some sectors, the\nGroup had made a good start to the year'.\n\n'I reported then that profits before tax for the first four months of the\ncurrent financial year were significantly higher than the corresponding period\nlast year, which had been somewhat affected by disruption to Bell & Webster's\nprecast concrete operations. I am pleased to say that we continued to trade well\nfor the remaining two months of the half year.
