[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nTrading Symbol CIN-CNSX\n\n\nVANCOUVER, June 19 /CNW/ - Canadian International Minerals Inc (CIN) has\nacquired by staking, a 100% interest in two mineral claims located in north\ncentral B.C. The Aley Cat and Big Mack claims were selected by interpretation\nof stream sediment data from Geoscience B.C. (GBC) Report 2008-7 which showed\nsamples anomalous in lanthanum, europium, hafnium, lutetium, samarium, terbium\nand ytterbium in streams draining the claim areas. These source areas appear\nto have a geological setting analogous to the nearby Aley Carbonatite Complex.\n\n\nThis intrusive complex is host to the Aley tantalum/niobium deposit,\nwhich was discovered in 1980 by Cominco and hosts significant dykes or\n"sweats" that include the mineral bastnaesite and other rare earth minerals.\nThese carbonate minerals are indicators of potentially economic rare earth\ndeposits and provide the primary feed for commercial rare earth extraction\nprocesses. Taseko Mines Ltd., the owner of the Aley is expected to release a\n43-101 compliant resource estimate on the deposit in the near future.\n\n\nUpon evaluation of the Aley discovery, Teck Cominco launched a regional\nexploration program that resulted in the discovery of the Carbo Rare Earth\nproperty, currently subject of option agreement between CIN and Commerce\nResources Corp.\n\n\nCIN is pleased to announce it has retained Mackevoy Geosciences Ltd (MGL)\nto advise on its exploration programs for rare earth metals in B.C. Heading\nthe MGL team is Professor Lee Groat of the University of British Columbia,\nFaculty of Earth and Sciences, and Director, Integrated Sciences, who is a\nspecialist in rare and exotic minerals and metals.\n\n\nThis initiative by CIN begins a new phase in mineral exploration focussed\non rare metals with technological and renewable energy applications. In\nretaining MGL, CIN is capitalizing on a unique and limited pool of expertise\nin a relatively obscure branch of mineral exploration which has recently been\nrecognized by resource sector investors.\n\n\nThe company has an extensive portfolio of early stage rare metal\nprospects and is in negotiations for several advanced projects. Additional\ntargets on lands open for staking are under evaluation.\n\n\n COPPER MOUNTAIN UPDATE\n\n\nCIN has completed 400.3 line kilometre AeroTEM III helicopte...
