Scottish Prostate Cancer Initiative
EDX Medical Group plc has been appointed as the primary delivery partner for the Scottish Prostate Cancer Initiative, a new project aimed at enhancing early detection and diagnosis of prostate cancer. This initiative will offer free Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) testing to 25,000 men aged 40 to 80 across Scotland throughout the year, utilizing blood samples for analysis. The project will also deploy advanced diagnostic tests for selected groups to investigate genetic risk factors and other biochemical markers associated with prostate cancer, with the goal of improving the existing clinical pathway. A pilot program successfully tested over 1400 men in the West of Scotland in February and March. Disclaimer*
