[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nTRADING SYMBOL: EAM-TSXVenture 12G EXEMPTION No.82-2647\n\n\nVANCOUVER, Jan. 25 /CNW/ - Ecstall Mining Corporation (TSX Venture: EAM)\n(\"Ecstall\" or the \"Company\") announces an update on the technical report for\nthe Akie property.\n\n\nThe Ecstall directors' circular dated January 8, 2007 (the \"Directors'\nCircular\") indicated that Ecstall had retained an independent party, Peter\nGeorge (P. Geo.), a qualified person under National Instrument 43-101 -\nStandards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects (\"NI 43-101\"), to prepare a\ntechnical report in accordance with NI 43-101 (the \"Technical Report\"). The\nDirectors' Circular also indicated that the Technical Report would have a\npreliminary resource estimate and a pre-feasibility operating plan, and that\nthe Board of Directors of Ecstall expected the Technical Report to be issued\nand available for review by shareholders at www.sedar.com during the week of\nJanuary 15, 2007.\n\n\nIn its press release issued on January 8, 2007, Ecstall indicated that\nthe Technical Report would contain a mineral resource estimate and a\npre-feasibility study.\n\n\nFollowing discussions with the TSX Venture Exchange and the British\nColumbia Securities Commission, Ecstall is working with the author of the\nTechnical Report to amend the report to bring it in line with the requirements\nof NI 43-101. Among other changes, the report has been re-characterized as\nproviding a mineral resource estimate and a preliminary assessment of\noperating and capital costs.\n\n\nFurthermore, as the Akie property is not an \"early stage exploration\nproperty\", a site visit by the author is required under NI 43-101. Ecstall\nbelieves that the site visit would not alter the conclusions in the Technical\nreport, as a site visit would have no impact on the either the bore hole\nresults upon which the resource estimates are based or the preliminary\nassessment of operating and capital costs. Ecstall is considering whether to\napply to the appropriate regulatory authorities for an exemption from the site\nvisit requirement. No assurance can be given that such an exemption would be\ngranted on a timely basis or at all.
