(TSX: DII.B DII.A)\ntoday announced that Ameriwood Industries, the Company's ready-to-assemble\ndomestic furniture division, is ramping up its Dowagiac, Michigan facility,\nwhere operations were suspended in July 2007. A production line is being\nopened to accommodate the current demand in ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture\nproduct. It is anticipated that up to 100 manufacturing positions could be\ncreated over time as demand dictates.\n\n\nSales of RTA furniture were strong during the most recent quarter ended\nJune 30, 2008, despite the overall slowdown in the home furnishings retail\nsector. Demand for domestically produced product has increased markedly,\nallowing the segment's North American two main factories to run much more\nefficiently and necessitating the need for additional capacity at Dowagiac.\n\n\nProfile\n\n\nDorel Industries Inc.
