(TSX VENTURE:CTG)\n(FRANKFURT:DFP) is pleased to announce that it has entered an agreement with\nBoart Longyear Drilling Services (Elko Division) to provide a truck mounted\nreverse circulation drilling rig to drill on the company's Quarter Horse Ranch\nProject. The company expects to drill 6 to 8 holes totaling approximately\n8,000 feet in this initial phase which will commence shortly and is estimated\nto take approximately 3 weeks.\n\n\nBASIC PARAMETERS OF THIS DRILLING PROGRAM\n\nType of drilling rig to be used: D40K\nNumber of personnel per crew: 3\nShifts per day: 1\nScheduled working hours per day: 12\nDays of the week worked: Seven\nDays on/off schedule: 15/6\nSpecialized training required for personnel: MSHA\nEstimated total footage on the project: 8,000\nAnticipated maximum depth of holes: 1200\nHoles will be drilled: Vertical/Angle 55-\n 60 degree\nNominal hole diameter: 5 1/2"\nDrill rod diameter: 4-1/2"\n\n\nABOUT THE QUARTER HORSE PROJECT\n\n\nGlobal Minerals Quarter Horse Ranch project is a Carlin-type,\nsediment-hosted gold prospect. The project covers 2,025 acres of fee surface,\nfee mineral, and unpatented mining claims through a mining lease. The project\nlies within the Jerritt Canyon mining district, immediately adjacent to the\nQueenstake Resources property. Since production began in 1981, Jerritt Canyon\nhas produced more than seven million ounces of gold (Queenstake, 2005).\n\n\nGeological, geophysical, and geochemical compilation and field work was\nsynthesized outlining five target zones within the Quarter Horse Ranch\nProject. Historic geologic mapping and soil geochemistry was updated and\nreviewed in the field. A second controlled-source audio-frequency magneto\ntelluric (CSAMT) geophysical survey comprised of 13.4 line kilometers was\ncompleted in May 2007 to further explore for the prospective fault and\nstratigraphic contacts interpreted in the first survey and to explore the\nsouthern Damn Claim block for covered ore-related fault and stratigraphic\nfeatures at depth.\n\n\nThe Quarter Horse Ranch Project is centered on the Williams, Mill Creek,\nand Van Norman Faults. These are large, prominent northeast trending fault\nzones within the Jerritt Canyon district along which many of the past\nproducing mines have been localized...
