[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nPrimary Crusher Repair Complete\n\n\nVANCOUVER, May 15 /CNW/ - Global Minerals Ltd. (CTG: TSX-V) (Frankfurt:\nDFP) is pleased to announce that after a six week outage caused by a bearing\nfailure in the primary jaw crusher the Gold Hill Mill has resumed production.\nRepairs consisted of machining a new shaft, new bronze main bearings and new\nbabbit bearings. In addition, new hubs for the pulley and fly wheel were\nmachined.\n\n\nBreak-in of the new bearings will take several weeks. During this time,\nthe crushing circuit will operate intermittently to allow the crusher shaft to\ncool and properly seat the bearings. Because the primary crushing circuit was\ndesigned with excess capacity mill output should not be compromised during the\nbreak in phase.\n\n\nMine Production & Development\n\n\nDue to the crusher outage the mine has stockpiled several hundred tons of\nore. Production rounds drilled and ready for blasting were completed\napproximately one month behind schedule.\n\n\nA fault encountered at the Cash-Freiburg intersection has forced the\ndrift development crew to add significant ground support, slightly delaying\nthe development of the Cash No. 4 & No. 5, and Freiburg No. 3 & No. 4 stopes.\nThis delay has provided an opportunity for the earlier development of the Cash\nNo. 3 stope. In all, there are 5 stopes on-line.\n\n\nMine Exploration & Vein Definition\n\n\nSurface drilling has resumed and two holes of a planned twenty hole\nprogram have been completed. Assays are still pending. Current drilling is\naimed at defining extensions to known vein systems in the current operation.\n\n\nUnderground sampling continues and three sets of assays are now available\nfor release. Sample collection was directed by Matt Collins, Manager and\ncompleted by Jim A. Paschis, Geologist with sample collection assistance\nprovided by Donel Maloney. All samples were sent to Loring Labs in Calgary for\nassay. Results presented in the tables below give indication of gold and\nsilver mineralization; they are not statistically distributed for ore reserve\ncalculation purposes.\n\n\nTable 1 Description\n\n\nThe Cash and Freiburg veins were sampled underground in the immediate\nperimeter areas to stopes currently under development and in the northeast\npart of the Freiburg vein/drift currently being widened. These vein sam...
