Blavod Black Vodka PLC 3 July 2001 BLAVOD BLACK VODKA PLC Appointment of Non Executive Director Blavod Black Vodka plc ('the Company'), which owns and sells Blavod, a premium vodka brand which is black in colour announces that Lawrence Banks, CBE has been appointed a non-executive Director of the Company. Lawrence Banks, aged 63, has extensive experience in banking and finance and was formerly Deputy Chairman of Robert Fleming Holdings Limited. Having joined Fleming's in 1961 he was responsible for setting up the New York investment banking arm and became a Director of Robert Fleming & Co in 1970 becoming Deputy Chairman in 1995 until retirement in 1998. During this time he was responsible for the relationship with The Welcome Trust. He is currently Chairman of William Cook Ltd and a Director of Roper Industries, Inc. In addition, he is a Commissioner of the Royal Commission for the Exhibition on 1851, Chairman of the Kington Connected Community Company, Chairman of the International Dendrology Society, a Trustee of the Mappa Mundi Trust and of the PPP Medical Healthcare Trust.
