(TSXV:NRN) (\"Northern Shield\") are pleased to\n announce the favorable decision from the Ministry of Northern\n Development and Mines following a claims dispute hearing in Sudbury,\n Ontario on Monday, August 19, 2013.\n\n\nOn August 11th, 2011, a claims dispute against Northern Shield was filed by the China\n Metallurgical Exploration Corp and Keystone Associates (disputants) of\n Markham, Ontario. Specifically, the claims involved were #P4248322\n through P4248326, Gittins Lake Area and #P4263974 through P4263980,\n Nottik Island Area, Porcupine Sault Ste Marie Mining Division,\n comprising 12 claims totaling 192 claim units of approximately 3,072\n hectares. The disputants alleged, on the basis of recommendation from\n their field and staking advisors, that Northern Shield's staking did\n not comply with provincial standards and substantial compliance was not\n met, and that the Discovery and Northern Shield completed staking after\n the dates indicated in the Application to Record.\n\n\nAs a result of the specific and substantial evidence presented to the\n Ministry by Northern Shield and Discovery Harbour, and the defense that\n was presented on behalf of the Company and Northern Shield by Ian Bliss\n (President and CEO, Northern Shield) during the hearing, we have\n received the Ministry's decision to dismiss the dispute, to revoke the\n 'pending proceedings' status that was assigned to the above-listed\n claims and to refuse the 'applications to record' certain subsequently\n staked claims, as filed by the disputant. The Ministry has also\n extended the time for performing and reporting assessment work on the\n mining claim by 726 days.\n\n\nThe disputant has a period of thirty days from August 21, 2013 in which\n to file a request for an appeal to the Mining and Lands Commissioner in\n Toronto.\n\n\nDiscovery Harbour and Northern Shield continue to plan for another phase\n of exploration to focus on the results from the down hole 3D EM survey\n results at Anomaly \"E\" and to drill test an as yet undetermined number\n of the regional VTEM targets developed...
