Appointment of David Channing-Williams as Non-Executive Director
Acal plc, the leading value-added distributor providing specialist design-in,
sales and marketing services for international suppliers in the field of
Electronic Components, Information Technology Products, Personal Computer Spare
Parts and Industrial Controls, announces the appointment of David
Channing-Williams as Non-Executive Director.
David Channing-Williams, 51, has been at the centre of the evolution of Vodafone
Group plc from the Company's inception in 1985 and was part of the management
team that helped it attain its current top ten ranking in the FTSE 100 index. He
joined as Marketing Director of Vodafone Ltd and later ran most of the Company's
UK subsidiaries as well as being a Non-Executive Director on a number of
overseas boards. He retired earlier this year as Managing Director of Vodafone
Ltd in the UK, having been a main board director since 1996.
He is also a Non-Executive Director of Adam Associates Ltd.
