Upon the publication of this announcement via a Regulatory Information Service (\"RIS\"), this inside information is now considered to be in the public domain.\n \n21 March 2018\n \nDirecta Plus plc\n(\"Directa Plus\" or the \"Company\")\n \nDirecta Plus and Sartec to commercialise Grafysorber®-based solution for oil & gas industry\nAgreement to develop commercial-scale industrial system for treating oil-contaminated produced water \n \nDirecta Plus plc (AIM: DCTA), a leading producer and supplier of graphene-based products for use in consumer and industrial markets, announces that it has entered into an agreement with Sartec Srl (\"Sartec\") to jointly develop a commercial-scale industrial system (\"Pilot Plant\"), based on the Company's Grafysorber® product, for treating oil-contaminated produced water in the oil & gas industry (the \"Agreement\"). Sartec is a provider of industrial engineering to the oil, energy and environment sectors and part of the Saras Group, the Italian listed company with a current market capitalisation of approximately €1.6 billion. \n \nThe Agreement follows initial joint research over the last eight months (proof-of-concept phase) during which extensive tests on the Company's Grafysorber® product as well as the effectiveness of the continuous process equipment were successfully carried out. The ongoing tests continue to demonstrate Grafysorber®'s ability to outperform existing technologies in treating oil-contaminated produced water. In Q2-2018, Sartec will commence building an industrial Pilot Plant, with Directa Plus providing support and expertise regarding Grafysorber®. \n \nThe Agreement aims to provide the oil & gas industry with a continuous process that:\n \n· has the ability to effectively treat contaminated water from oil & gas operations;\n· can recover the oil adsorbed by separating it from the contaminated water;\n· can recycle the Grafysorber® used in the process so it can be used again;\n· ...
