The reference date for the patent is 23 December 2016.\n \n The patent covers a family of formulations and compounds containing G+® graphene nanoplatelets for golf ball applications. Using these compounds at different loadings provides the basis for developing a new generation of high-performance golf balls aimed at both the professional and recreational markets. For professionals, G+® can be used to enhance the hard-core of golf balls to maximise shot distance, without losing lateral control. For amateurs, a different formulation of G+® can be used to increase distance while at the same time maximising control.\n \n \n \n \n Following the grant of patent, Directa Plus will commence a selection process for a partner to commercialise the technology.\n \n \n \n Commenting, Giulio Cesareo, Founder and CEO of Directa Plus, said: \"The award of a Europe-wide patent for our G+® technology in golf balls is the first step towards addressing a very large global market.
