(DFI:TSX)\n(\"DFI\" or the \"Company\") is pleased to report very encouraging results from\nthe recently completed resource development sampling conducted by Bonaparte\nDiamond Mines NL (ASX: BON) (\"Bonaparte\") under a joint operations agreement\nand the expected resumption of mining operations in early November.\nThe resource development sampling program by Bonaparte Bay in the joint\noperations area in ML111, offshore Luderitz was successfully completed in late\nOctober. A total of 291 gem quality diamonds weighing 135.92 carats (ct) were\nrecovered and the grid-based sampling results show near-continuous diamond\nmineralization over a substantial cumulative area of approximately\n290,000m(2).\nA total of 577 grid-based samples were taken of which 159 samples were\npositive and multiple diamond recoveries (more than 1 stone) were made at 56\nsites. Based on groups of closely associated positive results, a total of 9\ndiscrete zones of near continuous mineralization covering a cumulative area of\napproximately 290,000m(2), have been identified.\n\nSummary of results:\n\n>\n\nSampling was undertaken on a grid of approximately 50m x 40m spacing and\naverage sample size was approximately 2.6m(2). This is sufficient density for\nestimation of NI 43-101 and JORC compliant resources to the \"Indicated\"\ncategory. In terms of the joint operations agreement Bonaparte has appointed\nindependent experts, Steffen Robertson & Kirsten (SRK) of Cardiff, United\nKingdom to analyze these sampling results and carry out delineation, grade\nestimation and classification of resources in compliance with the NI 43-101\nand JORC codes. It is anticipated that their report will be completed by end\nNovember 2006.\nResults of the sampling programs have been reviewed (including sampling,\nanalytical and test data) by Mr. Randal Cullen, P.Geol., a \"Qualified Person\"\nas indicated under NI 43-101.\nThe Company also reports that the engineering work program on its vessel\nmv DF Discoverer is nearing completion.
