PTSD currently affects about 7 million Americans. PTSD can occur at any age and is usually accompanied by symptoms such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, substance abuse, and other anxiety disorders. \n Years of war in Afghanistan and Iraq have brought post-traumatic stress disorder among military personnel to the immediate attention of the general public.
