[{"type":"text","content":"\n Derwent London PLC\n31 May 2007\n\n\n\n Derwent London plc\n Conversion to REIT Status and Publication of Circular\n\n\nAs announced on 20 March 2007, the Board of Derwent London plc (the 'Company')\nis proposing to convert the group into a Real Estate Investment Trust ('REIT')\nwith effect from 1 July 2007 in order to benefit from the provisions contained\nin Part 4 of the Finance Act 2006 and the related regulations (the 'REIT \nregime').\n\nCertain amendments are required to the Company's Articles of Association (the \n'Articles') in order for the Company to be confident that it will not become\nsubject to certain additional tax charges that can arise under the REIT regime.\n\nAccordingly, the Company has today issued a circular (the 'Circular') explaining\nthe proposed election to REIT status and convening an Extraordinary General\nMeeting of shareholders to be held at One Bunhill Row, London EC1Y 8YY at 10.00\na.m. on 26 June 2007 at which approval for the proposed amendments to the\nArticles will be sought.\n\nCopies of the Circular have been submitted to the UK Listing Authority and will\nshortly be available for inspection during normal business hours on any weekday\n(public holidays excepted) at the UK Listing Authority's Document Viewing\nFacility, which is situated at The Financial Services Authority, 25 The North\nColonnade, Canary Wharf, London, E14 5HS (+44 (0)20 7066 1000).\n\nThe full text of the Circular, including the proposed amendments to the\nArticles, is available on Derwent London's website at www.derwentlondon.com.\n\n31 May 2007\n\nT J Kite\nCompany Secretary\n\n\n\n\n This information is provided by RNS\n The company news service from the London Stock Exchange \n ","length":1803,"tagName":"div"}]
