(“Dentsply Sirona” or the \"Company\") (Nasdaq: XRAY) today announced its financial results for the third quarter of 2021. Third quarter net sales of $1,069 million increased 19.4%, compared to $895 million in the third quarter of 2020. Net income for the third quarter of 2021 was $103 million, or $0.47 per diluted share, compared to $53 million, or $0.25 per diluted share in the third quarter of 2020. Non-GAAP net earnings per diluted share increased to $0.68 compared to $0.67 in the third quarter of 2020. A reconciliation of the Non-GAAP measures to earnings per share calculated on a GAAP basis is provided in the attached table. “In the third quarter we delivered strong results in an environment still impacted by the pandemic. Organic sales grew over 21%, driven by continued recovery in the dental market and robust demand from our recent product launches.
