[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nMONTREAL, May 14 /CNW/ - Montec Holdings Inc., (TSX-V: MTE), a holding\ncompany focused on acquiring and developing a diversified portfolio of\nhigh-growth technology companies, today announced changes in its Board of\nDirectors, as well as the appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer.\nMontec's management team saw fit to operate these key changes to reflect the\nCompany's new operational standpoint. Having graduated from a capital pool\ncompany to a full public company in December 2006, Montec now intends to\nimplement its acquisition strategy and engage its business plan in the next\nfinancial phase to ensure its growth. Key appointments were necessary to\nefficiently meet these upcoming challenges.\n\n\nAs of May 14, 2007, Montec's Board of Director has appointed Mr. Vincent\nBelanger as interim Chief Financial Officer of the Company. Mr. Belanger is\nChartered Accountant, with over seventeen years of experience with technology\ncompanies. He is President of CFO Solution Inc. Having worked for 12 years at\nKPMG, mainly in the corporate finance field, he then became Chief Financial\nOfficer of a company which he brought to a Nasdaq National Market listing and\nfor which he raised important financings. Lately, M. Belanger has been Chief\nFinancial Officer of TSX-V listed companies, where he implemented rigorous\nadministrative structures in rapidly growing environments and concluded\nimportant public financings. The Board has accepted Mr. Jan Holland's\nresignation as Secretary of the Corporation as of April 11th, 2007 and as\nDirector and Chief Financial Officer as of May 3, 2007. Montec Holdings is\ngrateful for the services he rendered to the Company as a member of its Board\nof Directors and as Chief Financial Officer.\n\n\nAs of April 26, 2007, Montec's Board of Directors appointed Mr. David\nWilliams as Director of Montec Holdings Inc., replacing Mr. Jan Holland. Mr.\nWilliams has also been appointed a member of the Audit Committee. Mr. Williams\nis a lawyer with a practice focused on technology-driven and international\nclients. Mr. Williams was a member of leading Canadian law firms (the Quebec\npredecessors of Fasken Martineau and Borden Ladner Gervais) as well as having\nworked in the West African office of a U.S. firm (Duncan, Allen, Mitchell).
