("Montec" or the "Company")\n(TSX-V: MTE), a holding company focused on acquiring and developing a\ndiversified portfolio of high-growth technology companies, today announced its\nsubsidiary Datex Billing Services Inc. ("Datex") has acquired the telecom\nexpense management services business of Contour Telecom Inc., a wholly owned\nsubsidiary of Yak Communications (Canada) Corp. ("Yak Communications").\nContour is an outsourced provider of telecom management services including\nconsolidated billing, sophisticated cost management and robust reporting.\n\n\nThe acquired business is synergistic to Datex's activities and brings\ndiversification to Datex's billing and customer management services. The\nacquired business has many Fortune 1000-type clients that will enhance Datex's\npresence and service offering to tier-one companies. This transaction moves\nDatex into the much larger enterprise market, whereas Datex has dealt almost\nexclusively in the carrier market niche up to now. Datex also secures a\nrevenue stream as Contour has been a Datex client for the past four years.\nAdditionally, this acquisition brings to Datex a number of highly experienced\ntelecom personnel which reinforce Datex's internal operational capacities.\n\n\n"We think that this new business unit dovetails into the Datex model of\noutsourced customer management and billing services and we are delighted to\nbring to Datex a number of Fortune 1000 clients that can benefit from Datex's\nyears of telecom experience.
