Digital 7 Inc has acquired Data Source Inc. (DSI) Data Source Inc (DSI) currently has revenue and can, with additional capital, grow quickly. This will be a fully owned subsidiary of DGIFD.

DSI was founded in 2002 to provide data preservation, protection and efficient user access for legacy tape and optical data storage media. DSI offers systems and services for tape and disk data migration, duplication, and backup for these older media types. DSI’s latest offerings, Virtual Tape Storage (VTS) and Video Tape Migration (VTM) have both seen significant initial market interest. The VTS services and product have been purchased by several DOD/ US Air Force agencies with great success and future purchases are in process.

DSI has engineered a full range of high performance Tape and Disk Media Duplication Systems. As pioneers of this industry, DSI has always incorporated the newest technology, from the first digital tapes, magneto-optical disks, and CDs, to the latest generation of multi-terabyte tapes and Disk's.  DSI provides advanced media duplication solutions to the largest software and data distributors in both government and industry, including many Fortune 100 companies. Each DSI system is tailor-made to meet the customer’s unique requirements. DSI’s solution-based engineering guarantees the flexibility, speed and accuracy needed to meet the challenges in today’s digital duplication and conversion industry.
