January 19, 2012 Guelph, Ontario. Dr. Gene Shelp, President and CEO of ENPAR Technologies Inc. (TSX:ENP) ("ENPAR" or "the Company"), is pleased to announce that the design, manufacturing, and assembly phases of the water treatment projects are proceeding on schedule at ENPAR's facilities in Guelph and Cambridge, Ontario. The Company anticipates that the installation and commissioning of its systems will occur in the spring of 2012.

The Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Innovation awarded funding for the AmmEL and ESD Demonstration Projects through its Innovation Demonstration Fund. In December 2011, ENPAR submitted initial invoices totaling $223,212.58 pursuant to the contractual terms.

"We anticipate that the success of the AmmEL and ESD Demonstration Projects will provide opportunity to establish a first-to-market foothold for our high-reliability technologies within domestic and global markets," Dr. Shelp commented. "The ENPAR portfolio of unique technologies represent immediate solutions for the treatment of contaminated water along with responsible conservation of the world's most precious resource."

The state-of-the-art, electrochemical AmmEL System converts ammonia in municipal wastewater to environmentally friendly nitrogen gas. Conventional ammonia treatment systems convert ammonia, an acute toxin, to nitrate which is considered a chronic toxin. The demonstration-scale AmmEL System will be installed at the City of Guelph municipal waste water treatment facility and will treat approximately 100,000 litres of waste water per day.

The patented technology has the potential to improve the treatment of municipal, mine and industrial waste water around the globe. The AmmEL System is not temperature dependent and is especially well suited to water treatment markets in temperate climatic zones where water temperatures typically decline to slightly above freezing during the winter months.

The ESD System achieves high water recoveries and high removal of metals and other undesirable dissolved inorganic, organic and biological constituents in drinking, waste and industrial process waters. The full-scale module of the ESD System will treat approximately 100,000 litres per day and is expected to reduce nitrate in drinking water from groundwater sources to a level below the government mandated standard of 10mg/L. The versatile ESD technology will be installed at a City of Guelph ground water source location.

The AmmEL and ESD Systems can be implemented as full-scale, stand-alone treatment plants, or as complementary upgrades to conventional methods at new or existing facilities. These versatile, modular technologies can easily accommodate increased supply demand resulting from population or production growth.
